Gas Sensor Description
 

1) Description
MI-02 (gas sensor) is a highly sensitive catalytic combustion type gas sensor that detects combustion gases such as propane gas, methane and butane accurately. MI-02 consists of a sensor and a temperature compensation device. The two devices are covered with a two-layer metal case (porous metal case) to protect from sparks or shock.
The bridge input voltage is 2.3V and fine alumina powder is applied to the high purity platinum filament coil. MI-02 is a sensor with high sensitivity, reliability and long durability which accurately detects only the gases selected because the surface area contactable to gases is wider than any other catalytic combustion type sensors.

The AlO (alumina) carrier as shown above (1) has a through hole inside (2,3) because it is a cylinder type under the electrodeposition method.

This structure minimizes the dispersion of the output value and improves the sensitivity of gas detection because of the constant thick carrier and the wide surface (¡ØPatent No. 0197062).
A general catalytic combustion type gas sensor has a carrier structure of a shell-like type. Accordingly, the carrier has no space (1) inside and the surface is narrow. In addition, the surface area (2) is not constant and shows low sensitivity. This may produce inconstant values and bring many problems.
 
2. The catalyst made by a self-test has less toxicity and poisoning. In addition, it can adjust the optimal temperature or applied voltage. We can reduce the leakage of the remaining chlorine made over time and embody the optimal conditions of a single or double alarm circuit to each gas.

4. This product has stability, high confidence, high sensitivity and long duration with a low voltage circuit (DC2.3V) and low current (less than 200mA).

5. It provides excellent sensing performance even through a change of temperature and humidity.
